HUE Registration

Name

We hope you will join DanversCARES and The Danvers Human Rights and Inclusion Committee for a brand-new event – The Healing & Unity Experience (HUE). In the wake of recent news that has caused pain and division in the community, the goal of this event is to bring people together to share cultures and promote friendship. The event, made possible by an initial grant from the Boston Bridges Initiative, will be held on Saturday June 4th, from 10:00am-2:00pm at Danvers High School.

There will be a wide variety of activities, entertainment and food!

Activities:

  • Identify with Flower Power
  • Learn Origami
  • Create a Flag representing your heritage
  • Tie a Ribbon on the Tree of Hope
  • Pet a Therapy Dog
  • Run the Track with Best Buddies

Entertainment

  • Dominican Pop Duo
  • Irish Folk Singer
  • R&B Band
  • Grupo Fantasia
  • Odaiko New England

Food

The first 300 people to register will enjoy free food from:

  • Tacos from Vibe Food Truck
  • Greek Food from Chez Rafiki
  • Empanadas from La Frontera Sabrosas
  • Roast Beef Sandwiches from Kelly’s
  • Chicken Sandwiches from Chic-fil-A
  • Ice Cream from Cherry Farm
  • Bottled Water from Danvers Public Schools

Plus much, much more!

Danvers, like much of the country, has been divided by lack of understanding of others, misinformation, and an inability to accept others that don’t have the same skin color, sexual orientation, gender, and religious or political beliefs.  DanversCARES, the Danvers Public Schools, and The Danvers Human Rights and Inclusion Committee have been working very hard to improve culture. We hope that attendees will learn something at HUE as well as develop an appreciation for the differences among us.

Thank you to our sponsors!
