Mental Health Resources
Mental and emotional wellness is something we all strive for. On a day to day basis, mental health exists on a continuum from emotional wellness to a diagnosed mental illness. Sometimes, emotions such as anxiety or depression begin to interfere with our daily activities, for example, not wanting to go to school or work, missing appointments, being late, avoiding homework, or canceling activities with friends. If this persists over time, it is usually a sign that we may need assistance from a mental health professional to help us out. Just doctor’s are trained to treat a physical illness, there are professionals trained to help us with mental health concerns. Seeking support from a professional is the right thing to do.
There are many behavioral health resources for families and individuals. Here are some to check out.
