DanversCARES is a program of the Town of Danvers, MA sponsored by the Danvers Public School Department and is funded by state and federal grants, local donations, and the Danvers Public Schools.
DanversCARES started in the mid 1990’s as a school-based health advisory committee with the vision to invite community partners to the table to support school based-health and physical education efforts.
Since then, the group has evolved into a formal community-based coalition with representatives from various parts of Danvers. Central to our philosophy is the principle that coalitions are built on community involvement and designed to address local needs. This is done through collaborative dialogue, prioritizing concerns, and seeking partners and resources to support the work. Everyone has something to contribute.
