DanversCARES is governed by a voluntary steering committee under a set of organizational bylaws that can be viewed on this link. DanversCARES_BYLAWS_May2012 The Superintendent of Schools and the Chief of Police are standing members of the steering committee. There is a community chairperson, a co-chairperson, fiscal representative from the coalition’s organizational sponsor, and a community member-at-large.  The Steering Committee works to guide the larger Community Coalition which meets the first Monday of each month at Danvers High School at 9:00 am. Levels of membership include core and active members and general supporters.

Peg Sallade

Program Director

As Director, Peg brings over 25 years of public health and prevention experience to DanversCARES. Known for her ability to build partnerships, direct innovative programs, and meet the needs of the community, Peg encourages civic engagement and community responsibility for creating an environment in which Danvers youth and families remain healthy. Peg advises peer partnerships, presents nationally on coalition development, and carries with her a vision of collaboration that catalyzes true change in the way organizations and people work together.

Lyle Harrod

Assistant Director

A Danvers native, Lyle comes to DanversCARES with a decade of experience working with youth on the North Shore. With a background in coordinating after school and out-of-school time programming and community organizing, Lyle has an eye for innovative approaches to empowering youth and has a strong interest in social justice and community building.
